We do mission with Open Doors as we open our building and grounds to our community. From a community garden in our parking lot to La Leche League, Girl Scouts, OCD Support Group, and much more, our property is a place where ministry takes place.

We do mission with Open Hands as we give generous financial support to local, nation, and international missions.

We do mission with Open Hearts as we connect with people on a personal level. Our KidsHope mentors spend an hour a week with an at risk child in a local elementary school. We also connect with families as we do home repairs locally and on our annual mission trip.

Each November, we provide all or part of a Thanksgiving basket to help a struggling family celebrate Thanksgiving. You can also personally deliver baskets to deserving families.

On the Second Sunday of each October, we participate in the CROP (Communities Responding to Overcome Poverty) Walk. The monies collected help provide food, medical care, disaster relief, self-help development, and other services for the needy throughout the world, including Lansing.

Each December we provide new toys for the Christian Services, Love INC Christmas Store. Participants in the Quality of Living Program, which teaches families to become more self-sufficient, earn credits they can trade for gifts for their children at Christmas.

We undertake a variety of building projects both locally and abroad as we take a yearly mission trip.

  • Personal Needs Closet

One of our mission projects at Delta Presbyterian Church is contributing to the Personal Needs Closet at North-Westminster Church.  There are four personal Needs Closets operating in Lansing area churches, coordinated by Christian Services.  Personal needs items are collected in the big brown box at the top of the stairwell.  Although you may donate items at any time, we designate the third Sunday of each month as a time to focus on this ministry.  Personal Needs items include:  toilet paper, laundry soap, bleach, dish soap, bar soap, paper towels, toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo, tampons, pads, deodorant, and tissue.
